An educational and networking forum for Canoe suppliers that currently hold a Sourcewell contract, this year’s event will take place in Canmore, Alberta, Canada at the luxurious Malcolm Hotel on October 9 – 11, 2024.
This year’s event is fully packed with educational sessions, interactive panels, peer networking opportunities, and fun offsite activities exploring the beautiful Canadian Rockies.

If you are flying into the Calgary International Airport, we have also arranged a special shuttle rate to get to Banff via Brewster Express. The airport desk is located in the Domestic terminal. To reserve your seat:

There is no guarantee of specific departure times and certain shuttles can sell out or be cancelled due to lack of bookings. You can cancel your booking until 90 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pickup time.

Keynote Speaker
Lanny McDonald is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Rockies & Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League. Lanny McDonald eclipsed the 80-point mark in 6 seasons and was an 8x 30-goal scorer as well, retiring with 500 goals and 506 assists after winning his first Stanley Cup in 1989. Lanny is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame and has served on its executive committee.
Lanny McDonald is best known for his outstanding sixteen-year hockey career with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Rockies, and Calgary Flames. Beyond being an exceptional athlete, he is a community leader, philanthropist, and successful businessman who passionately shares the leadership lessons he has learned on and off the ice. Throughout his career, Lanny has been widely recognized as a leader. He was honoured as a Chief of the Blood Indian Tribe in 1983, received the inaugural King Clancy Memorial Award in 1988, was named the NHL’s Man of the Year in 1989, and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1992. In 2015, McDonald was appointed Chairman of the Board of the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Lanny McDonald’s number 9 was the first number retired by the Flames organization, honouring his contributions to the game and his commitment to the community. He stayed with the Flames in management for several years, playing a key role in the 2001 Team Canada World Championship team and the 2002 gold medal-winning Olympic squad. Throughout and after his hockey career, Lanny has been deeply involved in many charities, with the Special Olympics holding a special place in his heart since 1973. Now, Lanny McDonald enjoys a business career outside of hockey.

This year’s event offers a variety of exciting offsite activities, including a round of golf at the spectacular Silvertip golf course, a Food eBike ride around Canmore, and an incredible trip up the Banff Gondola. As these events will occur simultaneously, you will need to choose just one.
Regardless of your choice, each event is guaranteed to be a fun and invigorating experience.
A delightful dinner at the tranquil Boundary Ranch will conclude the 2024 event, sending you home with memories you can’t forget.

Panelists
Tony Kulbisky, CLGM is the First Vice-President of the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators (CAMA) and also the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for Westlock County. He brings with him over 30 years of provincial, regional, and municipal experience including more than 25 years in senior management.
Tony holds a BA from the University of Alberta (U of A) and a number of certificates including a Municipal Management and Leadership Certificate from the School of Business and a National Advanced Certificate in Local Authority Administration with Distinction both from the U of A.
Tony won the prestigious 2016 Award of Excellence provided by the Society of Local Government Managers of Alberta and was selected for the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012.
Tony has also served his community as a professional 1001 volunteer firefighter for over 15 years. Tony has served provincially on the Local Government Administrative Association (LGAA) Board as Director, becoming Vice President in 2011 and serving as President from 2013 – 2016 and now sits as Past-President.
Tony is an avid runner, having completed several charity runs as well as 18 half marathons (21 km) and two full marathons (42 km).
