Canoe is investing in the future of public procurement.
Through a new partnership with the Ontario Public Buyers Association (OPBA), Canoe is funding the OPBA–Canoe Scholarship, a national initiative designed to support public procurement professionals across Canada in building skills, strengthening competencies, and advancing their careers.
The OPBA–Canoe Scholarship, delivered through the Public Procurement Learning Lab (PPLL), OPBA’s national learning hub, provides $20,000 in annual funding for professional development and education. The program focuses on practical learning that can be applied directly to day-to-day procurement work.
This investment reflects a shared commitment to strengthening procurement capacity across the public sector. As workforce needs evolve, organizations require skilled professionals who can navigate complex procurement environments, manage risk, and deliver value for their communities.
The scholarship supports this need by funding two streams:
- Professional Development Scholarships valued at $250
- Education Scholarships valued at $1,000
Both streams apply to courses, certificate programs, and professional development opportunities offered through PPLL.
The program is open to public procurement professionals across Canada, including those working in municipalities, school boards, post-secondary institutions, and other public sector organizations.
By supporting continuous learning and career development, Canoe is helping build a stronger, more resilient procurement workforce across the country.
Additional details on eligibility and application timelines will be shared soon.
